Diane Hessan Busted Out a Four-Minute Tech Rap at State of Innovation [VIDEO]
When Diane Hessan took the stage for her keynote to kick off BostInno's 3d Annual State of Innovation, she set the bar pretty high. After delving into a number of worthy topics, like diversity and women in tech, the Startup Institute CEO broke out into a four-minute rap about innovation in The Hub. She even managed to get audience participation on the chorus. For those who know Hessan well, this shouldn't come as a huge shock. She has a passion for music, used to lead an a cappella group of all local entrepreneurs, and once, she broke out in song during a MassChallenge speech. She claims she's not a good singer by any means, but one thing's for sure: The lady has guts.
If you missed out on the action at the State of Innovation forum, don't fret—we captured her whole performance on video (below). And if you were there—well, you'll probably want to re-experience the excitement. Because what else inspires the tech community like some relevant rhymes?
