For the past year and a half, Chicago Program Director Jenn Yee stewarded Startup Institute’s growth in the Windy City. Jenn’s experience as a career coach for MBA students, entrepreneurs, and professionals navigating the modern job market brought a unique perspective and excellence to our core curriculum, while her mentorship empowered our students in Chicago to find jobs they love.
As Jenn prepares to become a mother, she has stepped down from her role as Program Director. She’ll always be a part of our team, and will continue to support students and alumni as a mentor and advocate.
While we’ll miss Jenn, it is with great joy that we welcome Lisa Schumacher to the family as Startup Institute Chicago’s new Program Director.
Lisa comes to us from my previous company, Communispace Corporation, where she worked alongside me for many years, leading the company’s US sales & service organization. She is a great leader, a fantastic relationship manager, and she has significant experience in the digital learning industry. On top of this, Lisa was part of the founding team at WisdomTools, a Chicago-based startup, the former CEO of which-- Craig Wortmann-- is now one of the top 10 professors in the country and a rockstar sales instructor for our Chicago program.
Many of our alumni have already met Lisa. Her energy is contagious, and we are beyond excited to have her on our team.
