Start of the Season: Memorial Day Weekend
First and foremost, let’s take the time to say thanks to the men and women who have served our Country well, so we can enjoy Memorial Day Weekend.
Memorial Day is an important holiday, whether in remembrance or in leisure. Summer destinations open up and although the Summer solstice has yet to come, the “Season of Summer” is here. Instead of solely focusing on how to develop our beach bodies, use this period, from Memorial Day to Labor Day, to develop into a better startup-er.
- Web Development: Did you make a New Year’s resolution to learn to code? Renew your vow and regain that momentum with Codacademy’s Code Year.
- Product & Design: How much do you know about design besides what looks good? Don’t limit yourself to Photoshop hacks, dive into the realm of the design thinker using Wells Riley’s ”Startups, this is how Design Works" as your guide.
- Technical Marketing: Content and communication is cool, but do you know how to market through technology & the product itself? Acquire the skills and mindset of a Growth Hacker and take your marketing repertoire to the next level.
- Sales & Business Development: So I won’t use the Tristan Walker story here, but persistance is a muscle. Flex it with the Rejection Therapy 30 Day Challenge…I won’t take no for an answer!
Or for the extreme self-starter, take a look at each of the previously bulleted topics for links to the Startup Institute curriculum. Reverse engineer at will.
