Why We Support the Startup Institute Boston: Bluefin Labs

You’re creating new things every day. And along with your colleagues, you can change the face of entire industries.

But your formal university education may not have prepared you for all that! And that’s why Bluefin Labs is excited to partner with the Startup Institute. The six-week program focuses on teaching the skills you need to make an immediate and positive impact on the startup you join – skills that may not have been emphasized during your undergrad years, but are crucial for success in the startup world.

For us at Bluefin Labs, we’re tackling the $70 billion dollar a year TV advertising industry. Our technology and solutions help TV networks, brand marketers, and advertising agencies make better business decisions and generate more revenue. Bluefin Labs was born out of the MIT Media Lab and we’re headquartered in Kendall Square, just a stone’s throw from MIT campus.

So as you might imagine, a lot of MIT, Tufts, BU, and Emerson folks here. But not exclusively so! I moved up from New York City to work for Bluefin Labs; our product lead for TV networks, Oliver Young, moved across the country from San Francisco. Bluefin Labs is growing, so we’re always on the lookout for smart and passionate folks to join the team.
