Associate Director of Admissions, New York

Startup Institute is seeking a driven, sales professional to join the Admissions team in New York. As an Associate Director of Admissions, you will be responsible for meeting and exceeding our rapidly growing Admissions targets. You will contribute to the growth of Startup Institute by employing consultative sales skills, working closely with the city director to craft high-quality learning cohorts, and assisting with acquisition by forging local partnerships. This role will own the city sales funnel, report directly to the city program director, and be part of a global Admissions team. 

As a member of the global Admissions team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring each potential student understands what it takes to be successful in our program and beyond. You’ll drive both revenue and quality applicants that allows Startup Institute to continue to grow, scale, and help people find meaningful work in the innovation economy.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an exceptional talent for consultative sales, contributing to revenue growth, and the ability to tie an individual's goals into a logical solution.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years proven experience in consultative sales, consumer sales, enterprise sales/partnerships, admissions or recruiting

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Exceptional closing skills while still remaining welcoming, understanding, and empathetic

  • Goal-oriented with experience exceeding quotas and driving for results in a target-driven environment

  • Able to think on your feet, try new approaches and bounce back when things don’t go your way

  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to influence others internally and externally

  • Competitive, yet conscientious personality
