Startup Institute is seeking a director for our *new* part-time program. In this (full-time) leadership role, he/she will be responsible for overall program operations and ensuring that all educational programs meet the established standards of quality. The Director is also an advocate for student success at every turn, providing coaching and mentoring to help students achieve educational goals and succeed in their job search. Activities include: student acquisition and selection, instructor engagement and development, community outreach, program promotion, and site-specific management of the city team.

Experience in building and managing a business
Business development and sales skills
Willing and able to work collaboratively with leaders in other campus locations and headquarters to achieve common goals
Excellent organizational and time-management skills: able to manage multiple-complex initiatives within significant time constraints
Able to understand and resolve disagreements between people
Strong interest in education and working with practitioners to provide job-specific skills and knowledge for startup and high-growth companies
Able to move quickly to finish assignments and meet objectives and to motivate others towards those deadlines
The Director is responsible for Startup Institute’s 12-week program that will be delivered on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and two Saturdays each month.
Promote standards of excellence in all aspects of program operations
Cultivate relationships with key leaders, business partners and other influencers in local tech community to drive awareness and support
Maintain high bar in product quality and satisfaction, applying adjustments as needed
Teach selected programs in the core curriculum
Provide mentoring and career coaching for students
Expand product offering in market and develop new business opportunities
Coordinate work with other city team members who lead day-time and other programs
Maintain programming expenditures within budgeted parameters
