Vice President of Curriculum

Startup Institute is seeking a person to lead curriculum development. As the VP Curriculum and  member of the Senior Leadership Team, the VP Curriculum will be responsible for shaping the learning strategies for all Startup Institute B2C and B2B programming, including:

  • Lead initiatives for the development of new courses and updating of curriculum for full-time, part-time and fundamentals classes

  • Work with instructional designers and developers for creating content and delivery methods for Startup Institute programs

  • Build partnerships with universities and other organizations within local educational communities

  • Provide leadership and support to program managers for curriculum activities and instructor on-boarding

  • Establish metrics for monitoring the effectiveness of program offerings in meeting student needs

  • Support colleagues in work related to state licensing requirements

The successful candidate will demonstrate a high-level of knowledge and experience in immersive learning and building capabilities needed for careers in the  innovation economy.

Candidates should have:

  • Experience in managing all phases of learning and development from needs assessment through measurement.

  • 10+ years experience in developing curriculum for businesses

  • Ability to work successfully across functions and levels of the organization to establish reliable processes for delivery of learning resources

  • Understanding of requirements for meeting quality standards for occupational and professional education programs

  • Proven track record for combining technical skills training with other personal development and management training

  • Agility and willingness to adapt to client feedback and changes in the business environment

  • Master’s degree in education or related field
