Once described as a "five-woman show" by a former employer, I love getting my hands dirty in all aspects of a business, from operations to business development. I began my career working for organizations that provide seed capital and business support to micro-entrepreneurs around the world. For two years, I headed the communications and marketing department of an international NGO where I executed a strategic plan, managed corporate partnerships, fundraised, secured media coverage, produced annual reports and web content, and led a celebrity retail campaign that drove thousands of dollars in funds - all on a tight budget. Most recently, I practiced transactional law at a large firm in New York where I was the lead associate responsible for driving real estate deals to closing for clients ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies. My "Big Law" practice honed my stick-to-it-iveness and skill for driving projects forward, while my nonprofit experience taught me to thrive in the face of ambiguity and limited resources. I love bringing both qualities to bear in the startup world!
