International Man of Startups!

Damian Priday

Contact Me

I have lived in 14 cities, in 9 different countries and on 4 continents. Since moving to Boston I have grown a desire to become a part of this amazing ecosystem that is the Boston Startup Community.

My experience has been in marketing and brand strategy for SAB Miller and Coca-Cola in Colombia, Peru and Honduras. Nice cushy job right? Not when you have to travel somewhere in Latin America at the drop of a hat and fix problems in a new culture. I enjoy that kind of pressure, and was never one to shy away from a challenge.

More recently I have been doing brand strategy, content, and business development for a Portuguese based startup called Playnify.

I love wearing many hats in a startup environment, being able to work closely with people across functions and having an impact you can really. My goal is to help build new companies and take them to new heights.

What skills do you bring to a project team?

Competitive analysis, focus groups, Powerpoint, Info-graphics, brand strategy, market research, marketing and positioning, social media, strategic planning, presentation, creative problem solving.

What inspires you, what ignites your drive?

My greatest passion is sports, especially soccer. I enjoy playing, coaching, and yes, watching! Golf, rugby, squash, tennis, and so many others help me refresh, reflect, and energize.

What I enjoy most is building something special, taking my work and my team to new heights. I believe that every achievement sets the new standard.

So, sports fan huh? Who is your favorite team?

Liverpool. You'll Never Walk Alone! Great moto, and being a Liverpool fan it has certainly been a phrase that has impacted me a lot. Hire me and you will never walk alone. (apologies for the cheese)

If you were an animal, what animal would you be?

Oh, easy! A lion. I love lions. The strong and majestic team that is a lion pride is admirable. Like me, lions are actually quite quiet until they have something to say, and when they have something to say they make sure they are heard.
