Learn the best practices of fonts, positioning, & layouts. Advance understandings of design thinking and design springs while building and reviewing portfolios.
Week 3
Take a deep dive into typography best practices & CSS3 Information architecture.
Week 4
Gain new context for Information architecture, continued UI, UX, & user-centered design.
Week 5
Continue portfolio reviews and learn about wireframing & rapid prototyping.
Week 6
Learn how to implement and understand the best practices in responsive design & CSS frameworks
Week 7
Gain new and deeper understanding of careers within design & UX and how designers fit into the tech & innovation ecosystem.
Week 8
Learn about JavaScript foundations, loops, & if statements and get introduced to jQuery & JS libraries.
Week 9
Become familiar with JavaScript functions, arrays, & objects or UX/UI stability testing as well as user research methods.
Week 10
Continue deeper into User Research methods and begin preparing a pitch for the Talent Expo.
Week 11
Complete a final portfolio workshopping while learning key career skills including salary negotiations and promotions.
Week 12
Wrap up and showcase new technical skills. Meet & present in front of hundreds of Boston’s top tech companies at the Talent Expo
