Before heading to Startup Institute, Kathryn was in management consulting focused on strategy & operations for large companies. Kathryn was in the midst of applying for business school when she began attending events hosted by Boston's startup community. MIT's Startup Bootcamp was her first real introduction to the very different world of growing startups; from there, she began meeting with various people in the community. During a few conversations with startup teams, including a TechStars company that just so happened to share office space with Aaron and Shaun, Startup Institute continued to be mentioned. One fateful Monday in the office, she decided to take the leap and attend Startup Institute as a great way to pivot my original plans, and find a startup that best matched her passions and strengths to make a difference.
